A two-colour risograph studio working in warm ink. Prints, zines, workshops and the odd gloriously misregistered test pull.

About Apricot Lumen

We run one small drum press and a very short list of inks. Everything here is printed in two passes, so colours overlap, edges soften, and no two sheets land quite the same way. That is the point.

Editions are small because the paper is bought a ream at a time. When something sells out it usually stays out, unless the ink is still on the shelf.

Open for commissions · New prints most Tuesdays

Rows of bound books and stacked paper on warm-lit shelves Featured · Out now Amber Hour — Issue Four Thirty-two pages on light at the end of the day, printed in fluorescent orange and warm grey.

On the shelf this month

  • Harbour Light, A3 open edition, fluorescent orange over warm grey
  • Orchard Grid, A4 open edition, three passes on soft white stock
  • Postcard set of six, one colour each, sold as a bundle
  • Seconds shelf restocked whenever a run misbehaves
  • Ink library currently: fluorescent orange, warm grey, medium blue, moss

Workshop rhythm

  • First Saturday of the month — beginner two-colour afternoon, six places
  • Third Thursday — open studio evening, no booking needed
  • Private sessions by arrangement, two makers maximum
  • Commissions are quoted from a brief: size, quantity, paper, deadline

What we actually send

  • The Dispatch, once a month: one ink, one paper, one finished print
  • Studio notes, irregular: registration failures worth keeping
  • A short note when an edition is about to sell out
  • Nothing else. No sales blasts, no countdowns
